Description:

This is a rewarding opportunity for software engineers to grow within the Infrastructure Platforms team at JPMorgan Chase & Co. As a Software Engineer III, you will be an experienced agile team member responsible for designing and delivering trusted, scalable, and secure technology products. Your role focuses on maintaining and managing large-scale infrastructure, including servers, networks, and databases that host the API Gateway platforms.

Key responsibilities include applying technical knowledge to solve moderate-scope projects, improving data and system performance at scale, and ensuring end-to-end monitoring of applications. The role involves converting operational problems into software solutions and being accountable for significant project decisions across multiple technologies.

You will work closely with application and infrastructure teams to identify capacity risks and implement remediation plans. Consideration of upstream and downstream data and technical impacts is essential. Daily activities involve standard infrastructure support and capacity management.

Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering principles
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure operations and SRE
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure disciplines like networking, hardware, databases, storage, deployment, scaling, and resilience
• Expertise in scripting languages, particularly Python
• Experience working with multiple cloud environments and migrations between public and private clouds
• Ability to develop knowledge in infrastructure engineering, data fluency, and automation

Preferred:

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
• Exposure to cloud technologies
